West Sussex Scout Event Activity Team are running this weekend event for leaders in West Sussex who would like to develop their skills. Options to come for just one day or stay all weekend.
Backwoods cooking
Health & Hygiene / Food storage , Food preparation , equipment check .
Axe & Saw training / Hand and felling axe , Bush saw , Knives .
Fire building / various types and uses
Survival techniques , shelter building etc Camp Fire Leading Knots / Lashings Maps & Compass General Camping information ,site layouts , risk assessments , menu planning .
All these activities are hands on and will take place regardless of weather conditions .
There is an option to camp overnight on the Saturday .
Leaders can attend for 1 or both days and stay overnight .
Uniform is not required however you will need to wear suitable outdoor gear for t
