Adult Support Scout Crafts

Following an extended pandemic-triggered hiatus, Wisborough Green Scout Group will be reopening its doors in September to Beavers (aged 6-8) and Cubs (aged 8-10.5); we are looking to reopen Scouts (aged 10.5-14) in early 2023.

So why get involved? Scouting is more than a club that you go to once a week; our current drive is #skillsforlife and this is not just for the young people. Scouting works to equip our young people with skills to help them in life including adventure, a love of the outdoors, relationships, teamwork, a greater awareness of the world around them, personal challenge and, of course, fun. This applies to the adults as well.

We are looking for people to join this exciting adventure and return Scouting to the heart of Village life in Wisborough Green, we need leaders and helpers to support the units and we also need those people who get involved behind the scenes, the Scout HQ needs some updating and modernising, we’ve already got the support of the Billingshurst & District Lions Club to help us on this project but we also need an Executive Committee to oversee the works and look after the group into the future.

The whole reopening is being run by Petworth & Pulborough District Scouts so there are years of experience on tap to work with new leaders and members of the group to give Wisborough Green the best Scout Group possible.

For more information about this exciting project or to register your interest please e-mail us.
